Small Business Task Force

Gord set up this important task force shortly after being elected in 1997, and in less than 90 days had produced a series of significant recommendations and changes in how city hall did business with its customers. That started a new focus on customer service and the use of new technology, and making city hall more accountable to the public. This Task Force served as the foundation for many improvements in staffing and service, including more accountability to the public.   The report set the stage for the cutting of red tape that has continued over the past few years, and built the foundation for the city's new emphasis on customer service, innovation and better use of technology.
