Oh how important this Task Force was to the thousands of Londoners who for decades had experienced serious flooding in their neighbourhoods, homes or businesses. Gord Chaired this unique three-year task force which brought together staff from several departments as well as outside experts, cut across the usual bureaucratic delays and bafflegab, and brought forward a series of well thought-out and doable actions that resulted in the virtual elimination of the flooding problems that had plagued so many London neighbourhoods.
